Water flow is required for lamp cooling anytime Spectralight is turned on. The flow switch is recommended for all installations where there is risk of the SpectraLight receiving voltage with the pump off. Without water flow, SpectraLight may overheat and cause damage. The flow switch automatically turns off SpectraLight when water flow stops.
